ICS and Auto connecting

All,

Is there a way to stop the Networked computer from
constantly trying to re-establish the Internet
connection. I only want the networked computer that is
sharing the Net Connection to dial on demand and not
every 5 minutes or so try to re-establish the connection

computers are running XP Pro.
