This is a pretty basic problem...I want the "eject
hardware" and "power meter" icons to show up in my tray,
but even though I have the "show always" checked, they
don't show up. The only time they do is when something
creates an error (like IE freezing), but once I restart
they go away. Anyone have any idea?

rightclick taskbar > toolbars > check Quick Launch

It's not that portion of the toolbar that I am missing,
it's the tray on the right hand side with other icons such
as network connections and volume control, etc. The icons
should show up in the tray by themselves but they don't.
