Icons

I have downloaded some icons that I would like to use to describe different
folders and desktop icons that I have but I don't know how to change them.
Can somebody help?

On the folder you wish to change:

right click and choose properties.
choose the Customize tab
under folder icons choose change icon button.
Choose browse.
Locate file through chooser.
press ok.

Why not download a free Icon Shop? There are so many free Icon construction
applications out there. You can convert from a photo or graphics file. You
can capture and part of a file or your desktop screen as an icon. Combined
with themes you can totally customize.
