Icons missing text occasionally

Sometimes, when I open a folder, all of the icons will be missing the text
underneath. For example, when I open C: under My Computer, the icons for
"Windows" and "Program Files" will be there but the actual words will be
missing. If I re-open C:, the words might appear, or not, it seems
completely random to me. I've tried all of the different "View" options,
from Extra Large Icons to Tiles and everything in-between and it is still
happening. I have the latest video drivers (GeForce 6800), latest Direct X,
and all of the current updates installed. I have 2GB of memory, and a P4
3.4Ghz processor. If anyone has any advice, I would appreciate it, it is
driving me crazy.

I also tried the solution which was provided under the "None of the "<size>
Icons" views in Explorer display filenames" thread, and that didn't work, as
the icons are still randomly missing text. It also appears to be only
happening when I open up either me "C:" or "D:", none of the sub-directories
have been missing any text. When I make the template for D: "Pictures and
Videos", I can get the text to re-appear by first checking "Hide file names"
and then unchecking it, but I've still had it missing sometimes after doing
that.
