Icons in Taskbar missing

Hi, most of the icons in the task bar are missing and don't
know why, I already tried checking and un checking the Hide Icons
when inactive but without any success :( for some
reason sometimes they will appear and sometimes they don't (only
a few(3 or 2) out of...let's say 10)

I am using Win XP Home SP1
