icons in taskbar and stat menu too large

Hi,

I just installed XP on a new machine. After a few driver upgrades suddenly the small icons in the taskbar (quick start and system tray items) and the small icons in the start menu have increased in size. This is very annoying and i haven't found a way to change them back to the normal size.
The problem probably occurred after installing the VIA KM400 drivers from their cdrom.
Anybody?

go to control panel click on display when screen pops up go to apperance look toward bottom click on effects and the look to see if the use large icons is selcted if it is unselect it and push ok

thanks, but that doesn't help. i'm talking about the SMALL icons (in
the start menu and on the task bar). i think they should be sized 16,
but they are somewhere between 16 and 32...
