Icons disappeared (folder menu)

Hi,

The following problem just came up: in the left explorer window
(directory tree), no icons are visible anymore, just the drive or
directory name (c:\)...

Different folder options did not get the icons back. Rebuilding
the icon cache via TweakUI didn't succeed either.

Any hint? This is a brand new clean XP installation and I would
like to have this fixed.

Hi Frank,

The Folders Bar in Windows Explorer Does Not Contain Any Icons

Adaptation for the Article: Needs to be a path not a drive letter, so subst
c: [x]:\. Note backslash converts a drive letter to a path. It must point
to a valid folder as in: c: d:\Windows
