I am having a constant issue with this particular software.
I can fully install it.
But every time when I started to open a new database file (*.dbm), I will
get an error message saying that the collating sequence is not supported by
the operating system.

My build plaform is English version XP Pro SP2, and I use only English
laugnage in the build. This is really confusing me as I have no problem to
install and use the software in standard XP Pro SP2.

The only one interesting thing is: I tried to open again this empty database
file, the same message popped up again. Then I copied this empty database
file to my desktop PC and compact this file. After I moved it back to my
XPe, the error message did not show up anymore. Something wrong withe the
database component? I really have no clue.

Any idea?

Thanks in advance.

Sometimes (a lot of the time, actually) device manufacturers leave things out
of the embedded OS like drivers and that can cause software like Gen32 not to
work properly.

What type of database is .dbm anyway, and where are you using it in Gen32?
I think for most things they only support access (.mdb) or SQL Server
databases.

Sorry, that is simply a typo.... it is .mdb, not dbm...

The software allows users to create many type of database format, including
..mdb.
