Icon

[Pillo]

In windows exlporer One one of my hard drives shows a little hard drive
icon. The other one shows a blank Icon. Does anyone know how to change it.

right-click the icon and select properties. find the
change icon button or customize tab.

I tried that. This hard drive doesn't have those options.

See if you have a desktop.ini or autorun.inf file in the folder.

Try the 'Change the Hard Drive Icon' VBS file from Kelly's Korner at:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks2.htm
Go down to the 'Cosmetic Tweaks' section and select 'Change the Hard Drive
Icon' via the Drop box, then downloadd.

Check for the file "Autorun.inf" in the "affected" drive's root folder. If you don;t file this file, open Registry Editor and goto:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\DriveIcons]
Double-click the driveletter and set the "DefaultIcon" value to blank.

Restart Windows
