Icon Size in System Tray and Taskbar

In XP Pro, some users have small icons & others have
large ones. I cannot find the place to change this,
please help.

That changes the size of the icons on the desktop, etc,
but not in the quick launch space or in the system tray
(I think that's what it's called--the area where active
program icons show near the clock).

Any other ideas?

Back in win98 there was option on taskbar properties but
this does not exist in winXP.
Might try the start menu properties under the customize
button general tab. Select icons for programs.....large.
However this might involve shutoff/logon to work and also
might change the desktop icons.
Large icons in taskbar might only be for the 'classic'
version of winXP.

You are right....I only have "all programs" and "my
computer" on my start menu. I use keyboard for
everything else. Have 13" win3.1 monitor so screen space
is precious.
 
The way u describe that, it sounds like it is due to different screen
resolutions....some users might be 800x600, others 1024x768 for example

Specifically for the icons in the Quick Launch area...

Right-click on a blank area in the Quick Launch area of an un-Locked Taskbar.

The top item in the context-menu is "View".

Click on that, to get a choice of "Large Icons" or "Small Icons".


For the size of all icons in the Taskbar,

-EITHER-

Right-click Desktop | Properties |

-OR-

Control Panel | Display |

-THEN-

/Appearance\
[Advanced]
"Item:" [ Caption Buttons ]

Where can this value for the quick launch icon size be changed in the
registry? It can be a pain increasing the caption button size until
the icon size increases, then decreasing the cb size without
decreasing the quicklaunch icon size. I want small caption buttons
with lager quicklaunch icons.
