I tried this just now.....
Hover on icon and small popup appears. When I did a
right-click to properties and closed the properties
window the popup does not appear. Change to edit in a
text window and back to desktop and popups re-appear.
Strange.
If the shortcut is an application like anti-virus program
in the properties window there is comment box that
contains the info in the popup. You can edit/delete this
comment box info. A directory/file properties does not
have this comment box.
