I have a folder in Windows Explorer that I would like to change the icon on.
(not a shortcut), and also a html file that I would like to change the icon
on (not a shortcut). Can anyone refresh my memory on that task? I'm sure
that this has probably been answered many times in the NG, so I beg your
indulgence please. Thank you!

Using just Windows settings, the folder icons cannot be assigned on a per
folder basis. Workarounds: Make a shortcut to the folder and alter its icon
-or- experiment with one of the folder templates that let you add a picture
to the folder icon. Suggest trying this with a test folder first.

To change the icon for html files, use Folder Options> File Types.
Highlight the extension and click Advanced. There is a "change icon" button
in the top portion of the window that appears.
