On my JPEG images, for reasons unknown to me, my computer
suddenly won't display a picture for the icon. It just
has the standard Windows picture that Windows uses when
it doesn't know what type of file it is, even though it
knows it's a JPEG, and if I double click on the picture,
it still opens in Photoshop or whatever else I tell it to
open in. Can someone tell me how to fix this?

Thanks!

Try this, maybe it will restore the option:

go to...Start / Run and type:

"REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL"
(without the quotes)(Yes, there's
a space between 2 and S)

Click...OK.

A dialog box should report the following:

"DllRegisterServer in SHIMGVW.DLL succeeded"
