Icon mixup

Most of my folder icons have changed to an older looking
version from win 98, how can i change it back to the more
modern looking version? i tried going to customize and
changing the icon but it doesn't work, even the c drive
icon has changed, i'v also tried system restore which
doesn't work. please help!!!e-mail me at the above

Have you tried checking your desktop settings, ensuring

they are still in Windows XP Style, and not Classic...
you probably have. If not just right click on desktop
then go into properties, and check it there under the
appearance tab
