Icon in Explorer won't change based on Default openning Application

Title says it all. I have a several applications that run the same data.
Example MP3 files default with Roxio. I did a property on the MP3 file and
changed the opening application to WinAmp. Okay, now WinAmp opens my MP3
but the Icon is still that of Roxio.

How do you fix that?

Control Panel | Folder Options | File Types | MP3
Advanced | CHange Icon | Browse to Winamp exe file
Choose an icon | Click OK | OK | Close
 
When I do this, my system displays the correct application and icon (using
Advance as you described). But when I view the files with my explorer, the
Icon for MP3 files are incorrect.
