Tthe 'disconnect' menu does not always appear after e-
mail and Internet sessions. I look for the two-screen
icon that should appear in the startup menu but it is not
always there. How can I ensure its consatnt appearance?

Unlock the taskbar. Then right-click a blank area in the System Tray
(clock's location). Select "Customize notifications..." in pop-up menu. In
resulting dialog box, locate the icon you referred to and click on it. This
gets a shaded area around whatever is to the right (probably "always
hide")with an inverted triangle. Click on it to get 3 choices. Click on
one of the other two as desired. Ok and Apply-OK to close. Re-lock the
Taskbar if desired. Hopefully, the icon should now be visible, either
always, or while connected.
