ICON DISAPPEARED!

My Internetexplorericon has suddenly disappeared. It happened after I
downloaded something called Winace on my computer. Now I think I have erased
Winace, but the Icon is gone as well.
 
From the Desktop?

Desktop Windows Icons

Right click Desktop | Properties | Desktop tab |
Customize Desktop button | General tab |
Desktop icons | Select what you want on the Desktop:

My Documents
My Computer
My Network Places
Internet Explorer

Desktop icons
[[Specifies whether these Windows items will appear as icons on your
desktop. Select the check box if you want the item to appear on your
desktop; clear the check box if you do not want the item to appear on your
desktop.]]

I am not sure I understand what to do. The icon is nowhere to be found.
Neither in the startmenu or on the desktop. So should I rightclick on an
empty spot in the desktop or what?. Then it shows a box saying Arrange icons,
update, new, properties....roughly translated from danish. Could you specify
what I need to do to get the icon back?. Thank you for trying to help me...
