Just received new Dell laptop - when adding icons to desktop the pictures are
not coming over - only the famous 'e' and descripton. Is there a way to get
the company logo to show up? I do not have this issue with Dell Desktop PC
(vista) nor HP laptop new Dell laptop w/visita.

I would suspect some corruption in Shell32.dll. When you rightclick some
icons, and Properties tab, the Shortcut tab should have a 'change icon'
button that should show the path to shell32.dll, and all its icons. If it's
a Dell app shortcut, the exe or dll should be there. It's probably pointing
at some IExplore *.dll.

I right clicked the icons on the laptop...i am not getting the path you refer
to..nor pictures. I do see them on the desktop. Big difference. Since I am
a PC illiterate is this something I need to call Dell to walk me through?
Thanks for you help!
