Hello,

I am also having the same problem as "MOI" about the icon
backgrounds. I have also tried what has been suggested.
Nothing worked. Originally, there was no color behind the
names of the icon (located right below the icon picture)
and now that I have changed the desktop color, I can't
change it back so that the icons have no color in the
background. I have a picture for my wallpaper, but still
the color blocks appear behind the titles. I know in
Windows XP you can have no color behind the icons.. How
do I get it back to normal?

Help me please,
Sandy O'Connor.

Try this:

Rightclick desktop =>Properties =>Desktop =>Customize Desktop => Web

Uncheck all web-pages!

Wow it worked!!! "MOI", this is what you do!! The other
locking and unlocking of webpages in the properties
didn't work, but doing it this way did.

Thank you Lars..

Can I ask you what the webpages had to do with the color?
I can't seem to think of the connection.

Well, actually I don't know, but I had the same problem, and unchecking all webpages did
it!
