I was transfering some files between two computers , after I finished I
noticed that the standard icon for the disk when in Explorer was
changed. How can I get the standard icon back? thanx

If for a Drive, look for the file named autorun.inf in the root folder and delete it.
For folders, the icons are defined in a file named desktop.ini (hidden file) in that folder. Delete this desktop.ini file.

The only place I found these two files was in the registry, is that what you meant?

What do you mean by root folder? I did three searches can't find them, could you be more specific please.

Right-click the drive-letter (which is showing an incorrect icon) in My Computer and choose "Open". Then locate and delete the file autorun.inf in that folder. If that does not help, send me a screenshot JPG file how the icon looks like.
