ICMP Broadcast

On Monday we came in to find out network extremely slow.
After two days of investigation we have found that our
Windows 2000 server is sending out broadcast ping requests
every second or two. This is causing every node on our
network to repond, thus creating a massive amount of
traffic. Has anyone seen this, and how did you fix it?

Also, we installed SP 4 over the weekend, just a little
more infomration.

Thanks for the information, but this does not really seem
to be the problem. We have investigated the idea of a
virus, even ran our Virus Scan several times and have
found nothing.

Do you have any other ideas?
