My iCalendar option will does not allow me to switch it on. We are part of a network. My caledar invitation turn up to the receiver as normal emails. Any suggestions?
 
Outlook and Exchange versions, please.

Microsoft Exchange V6.0.6249.0 according to an email I sent to myself and dissected tonight
 
And the issue is? The newsgroup interface you are using apparently does not
quote earlier messages in the thread, making your latest message so short on
detail that you risk not getting the answer you're looking for. Please take
the time to quote the original message.
 
My caledar invitations sent via email outside our network turn up to some recipients as normal emails, and to others as appropriate calendar invitations. Interestingly, the recipients who are receiving them as text emails are running Windows XP/Outlook 2002 or 2003 just like the ones receiving them as calendar invitations

Exchange 2000 should be automatically converting external iCalendar meeting
requests into iCalendar. It might be useful to look at one of these requests
with Outlook Express, which can show the entire header, to see exactly what
is being transmitted.

Failing that, try checking the "send in Outlook rich-text format" box on all
external recipients.
