Hi,

I'm using Outlook 2002 and connected to the corporate
Exchange Server.

The ability to send meeting ivitations vis iCalendar is
dimmed, under the Calendar advanced options settings.

I asked the admin if he knows how to change this and he
said "NO".

My questions is is there anyway to change the setting
locally so I will have the ability to check the checkbox?

If not, what should the admin do on the exchange server to
enable that?

Thanks,
Hagay.

What version of Exchange? Exchange 2000 or 2003 should automatically convert
Internet-bound meeting requests to iCal.

My company is using version 5.5 of Exchange.
Is it possible to send meeting request through iCalendar
with version 5.5, by changing settings on the Exchange
Server?

Hagay.

If you're using Exchange 5.5, then you cannot set iCal meeting requests
automatically. You can either send a regular Outlook meeting request or
manually forward an appointment as a vCal item.
