IBM Flat Pannel Monitor

I recently got a older IBM 17" FP monitor however it
doesnt seem to work with my PC. The model # for the
monitor is 97b02539516 - when I went to IBM they said it
was a software issue that MS had not made a driver for it
to be used with Windows XP. I really do not want
to 'downgrade' to make the monitor work so I'm hoping
someone has an idea to help me out.

If it's an IBM monitor then it is there job to provide drivers - not
Microsoft's. They are just trying to pass the blame because of their
incompetence.
