IBIS toolbar was installed past Realtime security?

The most recent scan picked up the IBIS toolbar installed
and quarantined this, but I wonder why it slipped past
the Realtime protection? Also when I tried to report
this error I got the message that I had to change my
proxy settings? Maybe someone can let MS know about this
and how do you change the proxy settings to send a
suspected spyware report?

Hi There

Its a false Positive and not connected to IBIS/Huntbar
its a Vise Uninstallation file for Quicktime as far as I
know. When a VISE installer runs, it creates a file named
unvise32.exe (either in the Windows or WINNT
directory),Vise is just a easy way to make Installer
applications without needing complicated scripts so is
used by alot of applications.

The IBIS detection is this:

C:\windows\unvise32qt.exe

So I assume it's related to Quicktime and not IBIS, I
chose to Always ignore using MS Antispy after uploading
it as a malware scan site and have submitted the file to
the makers of Vise to get confirmation on this so will
repost when I get a reply from them but that may be
Monday.

Regarding the proxy error's this is a bug in the beta and
it gives me proxy error's on two pc's even though there
is no proxy settings in place, I can get updates easy
enough so think its just something that needs fixing by
the MS team but I'm sure they are aware of this as its
reported alot in these groups.

Regards Andy

I had the same problem but what is worse it did not
remove the Ibis Toolbar. It keeps reinfecting my machine!

I have had the same problem, literally just popped up
today at woirk, yesterday at home, running Symantec
everything and spy sweeper at home, Macaffee and zone
alarm at work and nothing else had found it. It was
associated with MindVision installation software (the
only thing recently installed Dataviz stuff for my PDA)
perhaps it's a false positive but I would like to know!!

Let's update your definitions to 5755 and see if that makes it all better.
