Is this possible? It seems like I remember one of my old computers
doing this. I could hover over the shortcut icon on the desktop and it
would open a dropdown menu. I have a windows xp. If this is possible,
make sure it is a
easy to follow explaination. Thanks

You could make an entry in your start menu somwhere. I have never seen
you be able to hover over the desktop though to see a dropdown. Then
again, i haven't seen lots of things (but i don't think what you are
asking is currently possible)

The nearest thing to this in XP would be to drag the folder to the edge of
the desktop and drop it there. This creates a toolbar which you can set to
"autohide".

HTH Tony.

Right click a folder to see a menu.

Install the Contents PowerToy feature for Windows 95. It allows you to
right click on a folder, move the mouse over the Contents menu option, and
it will display what is in the folder.

Doesn't seem like much of a feature. You can double click on the folder and
open it in the time that takes.
