I quit using your products severl monts ago in particular your MS out look. I
recently decided to try the new version of outlook 2003. I went to send
emails to people that I need to have a indication that the email was read. I
send them with a .readnotify tag, which sends me a recipt with out any
message to them. I sent these with ms uot look and each time they recieve a
notce that I would like a read recipt though this option is not checked in
out look. Now everyone has been informed that I am asking for a read recipt,
once again MS has screwed me up. I can not figure out how to clear the auto
fill for email address or even where it is looking for the address. this was
the straw that broke the Camels back. I have recomended to 2 of my clients
that they sell there MS stock and not use MS software ever again

That's unfortunate. Outlook 2007 is less than a year away. I hope you give
it a try when you're ready.

There is a learning curve with any in-depth software application. It seems
you have been learning by trial-and-error and as a result have run into some
frustration. Hopefully your clients won't miss having one of the most
stable tech stocks there are in their portfolios, and which finally pays
dividends.

Read receipts in any email application do not work and are easily blocked.
I turn them off. Read receipts requests are not sent unless the sender
specifically requests one. You can do so for all messages or the individual
one you are sending. For all, they should be off by default.
Tools-->Options-->Email Options-->Tracking Options. Deselect the Read
Receipt request box.

Clearing the autofill cache? You can delete individual entries... arrow
down and delete the ones you don't want with the delete key. Turn it off
altogether? Tools-->Options-->Preferences-->Email Options-->Advanced Email
Options. Clear the check box for "Suggest names..." (they are stored in an
..nk2 file)

These are both clearly explained in the Help.
