There are lots of options for this:
(1) You could set a hyperlink to an external picture file (for clicking
on any text or object on your slide).
(2) You could set the hyperlink in (1) to another slide that has a button
on it that has the Action Setting to hyperlink to Last Slide Viewed.
(3) You could do number 2, except put the slide with the picture into a
custom show. Then link to the custom show and check the box for Show and
Return.
(4) You could stay on the same slide and set an entarnce animation for
the picture. Set the timing of the animation to be a trigger based on the
click of a button that you place on the slide (you can't trigger from
text). This only works in PPT 2002 or above. Oh, and to make the picture
go away set an exit animation to be triggered by a click on itself.
(5) If you have 2000 or 97, you can do #4 with VBA (and the VBA can be
set to run by a click on text).
I'm sure there are about a dozen more potential ways to do this, but one
of these hopefully will work for you.
