do t the table in which that particular field existing and open it in design
mode then select the that particular field, at the bottom you can see the
input mask column just delete and save

You don't understand the problem... I want to clear the input mask from the
list that becomes available if a user creates a custom mask via the Wizard.
Of course, I know that you could clear the mask for that one field - I want
to clear it from the available list of values.

The information is stored in a table that you can link to (or open the mdt
field). My connection is:
DATABASE=C:\Documents and Settings\hookomd\Application
Data\Microsoft\Access\ACWZUSRT.MDT;TABLE=im_TblInputMask

I have the ACWZUSRT.MDT file, but there is only one table in it -
UT_tblXLATChars: there is no IM_???? table in my ACWZUSRT file.

I am also using Access XP and added a new input mask. I was able to open the
linked table as noted previously and delete the record I had added to the
table. I did find the table you mentioned. It is listed last of the 51
tables I could link to.

I searched everywhere on my C: - only the one occurance of the ACSZU**.mdt
There's only one table in it.

You should try run the database documenter and then check the date of the
file. The date should reflect today.

weird things... There had been only one table prior to running the
Documenter. As soon as I ran that - a whole bunch of tables appeared,
including your IM*** table. Mucho gracias.

That is weird... I would be interested to find out if you shut down your PC
and then start it back up, if the tables are still located in the MDT file.
If you are in a corporate environment, your admins may be doing some stuff
with your profile.
