I want to convert everything from a slide show..

...into a text document with graphics.

The outline feature only extracts a portion of the text & doesn't include
graphics. The 'send to' Word feature doesn't convert it to a text document.

Right now, I'm looking at tedious cut & paste - is there a better way???

Please help!!!

Thanks,
Peter

The 'send to' Word feature doesn't convert it to a text document.

That depends how you define "text document" I suppose. <g>

I have converted hundreds of presentations into "Word docs", which seem to
match up to your requirements...unless I misunderstand. What part of the
Word doc is giving you trouble?

Hi John,
Thanks for responding.
So far, I've gone 'File' 'Send to' 'Word Doc' & then it gives choices like
Slides with space on the right
or Slides with lines on the right, etc

While this is a Word doc, I don't want the slides in there at all - I just
want the text & graphics.

Am I missing another way of doing this?

Thanks,
Peter

Hmmm, no, there isn't anything other than c & p for this that I know of.
There might be a VBA solution, but I'm the wrong guy for that kind of help.
Maybe changing to a blank background will give the appearance of no slide,
but you still get the frame around the slide.

Pete,
Try save as outline or file--->send to word --> outline. However, this will
only send the text that is in the placeholders, not the text that is in text
boxes and auto shapes.

There is a piece of code that will do all text. It can be found in the PPT
FAQ at URL:
