I´ve got a problem

I am a Windows 98 user and I have the next problem:

I want to uninstall Internet Explorer 6.0 and I don´t know how. I have tried
it going to add and remove section and it gives me two options: add software
or reinstall Internet Explorer but I don´t want to do either of the two
things; what I want to do is to UNINSTALL. Can anyone tell me how I can do
it, please?. Thank you.

As I know if you have chosen not to be uninstallable (during installation or
at a later time you have removed uninstall files) you cannot uninstall it.

I had the same terrible problem and no one seemed to know what
it was it was so frustrating.. i hope this helps with your problems
too......
i finally found it out..
it also solved some of my other problems that i had no idea were related at
all
this is how if fixed my problem, Now i can add backgrounds to outlook
express, and i can use the stationary, i can change font colors...
a.. control panel
b.. accessability option
c.. display tab
d.. uncheck used high contrast
but you know what, it fixed the fact that i can now use work art in Word
2000 and i can change the color in that too.. it is amazing..........

another thing that got fixed was that the web pages for
http://support.microsoft.com/
i would try to visit these web pages with internet explorer 6.0 and the web
page would be gigantic.........i mean very gigantic..only a portion of one
letter would fill the screen..now it only seemed to happen at
http://support.microsoft.com/ for some reason..and only with internet
explorer not mozilla or netscape...
but that problem is also fixed now...........how totally bizzar.......
i have reinstalled eplorer and did all updates and kept trying and trying..
and this was the simple answer

me six months............six whole months..............

Hi,
As Internet Explorer is tied to the Windows operating system, you can not
uninstall it.

Windows 98 contains IE 4.0 and Windows 98 SE IE 5.

If you install a newer version of Internet Explorer you are able to
uninstall it and restore the original version unless you disable the ability
of uninstall at installation time or remove uninstall files later.
