I used MSI Update, now its messed up

Help! I used my computers MSI Live update to download 1 new BIOS for my mainboard and 1 driver for my mainbord, and now my sound wont work and it takes 3 times as long to load windows. I tried to go back through all my system restore points and none of the 7 were successful. I also was told to try to go to settup and disable bios sound so my system would use my creative sound card, but could not find the option. And, I re-installed my SB Audigy 2 drivers and applications but I still have no sound. Any help that prevents me from chucking my computer out the window would be VERY VERY appreciated!!
 
It's not a Windows XP issue and the Restore function has no effect. It
deals with the BIOS. Your best bet is to post your question on the MSI
forums.

I think it was i made a 3.5" diskette with a backup and still have that and the screen told me it was, but right afterwards everything got screwy
 
Then you might want to flash the BIOS back to the previous version. Again,
it's best to post on the MSI forums.
