I cannot get my computer to recognize any of my CD-ROMs/DVD burner or CD-RW
drives. I uninstalled CD-Clone and I guess I am paying the price now. Anyone
know of a fix? Someone on the newsgroup was kind enough to tell me of a fix
(but it didn't work) and he still helped me even though I asked the question
in the wrong thread.

Thanks Rickey

If you always think someone is following you.
Look behind you and you might find that it's you who are doing the following
but are almost a world behind.

CD-Clone installs a driver file for your device.
If you delete your device from "Device manager" and restart I think your
oroblem are solved.

First find out what brand and type of CD you have in your computer.(If this
info is not in your documents, then open the box and read whats on the
hardware, if your nervous about that you can try calling your boxes
manufacture or using their web site to find the info) Next go to that web
site (the CD makers) and download the XP drivers for it (save them on the
desk top so you don't forget where they are, if they come zipped, then unsip
to a folder on your desktop after downloading). Now go to add new hardware
wizard and do a search for the CD, when it comes up as not their select add
a new hardware device, then elect install the hardware that I manually
select When prompted enter the info and when prompted tell it where the
drivers are (i.e. on the desktop) that should let your system find the CD
again. Note I am making the guess that when you uninstalled you deleted the
drivers.
