I got problems making a new restore date and also
creating a restore point. I went to the web site someone
sugested to line 278 & 289 and still no luck . Short of
reinstaling windows XP pro. is there anything else I can
try?

did you try to adjust the settings in system restore

Try shutting off system restore and reboot,then turn it

back on.Sometimes these files can get corrupted.
