Agreed.
I should have given this convention consideration BEFORE pressing the SEND
button, instead of immediately AFTER doing so.
This, of course, provoked an immediate reaction from a member of the
ACF/protocol police as, no doubt, I should have expected.

I'm afraid that which I stumbled across on the web today provoked a
lamentable lapse in attention to protocol. Mea Maxima Culpa.

I have taken to heart your comments, and will endeavour to avoid
re-offending.
