I Think Microsoft Should Have Brough Outa Another XP

Microsoft should have brought out a new service pack for XP, giving it some
more options or an upgrade! Another possibility would have been and XP 2007
or something. An XP compatible with XP compatible machines but with all the
eye candy and inner workings of a os like vista, or make it 64-BIT! I hate
MACS but one good thing is how all of their new os are always compatible with
the machines before hand but work better on newer ones, obviousley not like
12 year old MACS but a 3 year old MAC for example!
 
You think MS should have brought out a (free) service pack for XP that
would essentially turn XP into Vista? Now, why didn't MS think of that!?

Hey, charge us the usual price but give us something which works! Fluff
features are nice, and many will pay for them, but changing the way a lot of
stuff works was just fixing something that wasn't broke, IMO.

Service Pack 3 for Windows XP is in the works. It will combine the
updates/patches and some of the underpinning architecture for more current
programming. It won't turn XP into Vista per se, but it will make them
similar on some levels. So in some respects, it will deliver an XP 2007.
Look at JoAnn Paules's post for a link to the "roadmap".

Windows XP-64 works great.

They should not have brought it out right away...
nor should they have come up with Vista in it's present incarnation.

After XP-32 had been out for a few years...
they should have released XP-64 as Vista...A whole new OS!!!
Maybe with just a different default coloring scheme :)
