Can someone please help me. I have an ati 128 9800pro card. I just updated
the drivers. Iam trying to play a simple game. Sometimes the sound freezes or
loops. and/or then cursor is suck, or sometimes the video is garbled. Then i
have to restart my computer. It doesnt happen in the same part or soemtimes
it doesnt happen at all. Can someone please try to help me ?thanks.

What drivers did you upgrade to.....ATI has 2 sets of drivers, one for
control-panel
the other for control center.Control center, never ran very well with my
9800 pro
256,i use control-panel version, also try updateing by downloading the dial up
version instead of the single update package. With the dial up you need to
down
load and install individual files-3 total. After all 3 are installed, restart
computer,
go to run, type:DXDIAG Run the Direct X utility.

I ran everest. Do youi think thats the problem Temperatures:
Motherboard 42 °C (108 °F)
CPU 37 °C (99 °F)
WDC WD1200JB-00FUA0 48 °C (118 °F)

i want to copy my dxdiag files for you but it says the file is too long..
What sahll i do next? do u think u know what the problem is or just reinsall
the drivers.? though.... i dont think its the drivers... but hey who
konws.... thanks

I'm going to combine all of your "replies" thus far - so everyone knows what
information you have thrown out there:

do you think its the power supply or its the drivers?

Now - I will throw out the suggestions you have gotten so far - so no one
will answer with the same suggestions (also so you can see them in one
place - as you have no responded with so much of a "I tried that" or "didn't
work" yet...)

roll back the drivers, in hardware

Now - I would suggest the roll-back of the drivers first. That seems to
make the most sense - considering your explanation of the situation. You
"just updated the drivers" and now you are having trouble.. Well - go back
to the drivers that were not giving you trouble!

Perhaps you don't know how?

HOW TO: Use the Driver Roll Back Feature to Restore a Previous Version of a
Device Driver in Windows XP

Now - if you could kindly provide feedback within the thread to let people
know what you have tried, what you have not tried.. that would be great!
