i think i have a dvd driver installed, there are two disk drives, but I can't pl

Click on "My Computer".
What does it say?
 
Go to Device Manager via Control Panel and look at the CDR's, that should tell you if its DVD capable. Also check (this is most likely) that the DVD reading software has been installed, should be a CD that came with the drive.
