Don't know if this is the right place for this thread .

I'm thinking of takin up this I.T. course ,

http://www.creatingcareers.net/channels/courses/wizard-on-the-web-more.asp

I recon I can cope with it and I think I have all the right equipment .

2 Questions ,

They say I will need ,

File Transfer Protocol (FTP) program, such as WS-FTP or FTP Explorer (many commercial web packages will have a File Transfer Protocol program built in)

Will that be part of XP PRO or Open Office 2.0 ????

Also do you think that Open Office 2.0 or Microsoft Works 8 will be okay for this course ?????

I'm not realy sure what Works 8 is as I haven't had the time and a decent enough pc to give it a try . When I looked on the web a few times I couldn't find any clear idea what the program did .

Any help or info would be most appreciated .

Phew that was a struggle , its realy hard work being serious

Thanks but most all of their courses require you to have expensive microripoff software as do most of the courses run by the goverment retraining initiatives . I looked int those when i was on unemployed several years ago . Yes you can come on the course , yes you can study at home , Oh dear you don't have MS Office . We can't help you to get a copy I'm afraid . What you want to come in and do all the work here , no no thats not possible , but I've got plenty of free time and I don't mind the travel and you have plenty of free pc's . Can I use Open Office then , No no just won't do must be MS , but it integrates , No No No . Come back when you've saved up a fortune to buy MS Office . Mutter mutter mutter .
