I am still haveing trouble installing Real One Player.

I go to the download site, try to install Real One Player 10 and notice that
when it goes to the part where it says 'configuring system' a message comes
on in a small box that says "cannot execute real one command." I had to
completely wipe off everything on my hard drive due to a faulty driver issue.
I have been able to put back all of the other programs that I was
running--all except Real One Player. I have tried to clean up Windows
Installer with Windows Install Cleaner but have had no luck.

Again, I would be most appreciative of ANY help anyone cold give me....

Hello,

Your best bet would be to go to the manufacturer for assistance with the
install. One last shot to try would be to download the program and install
after booting into safe mode. This should limit the drivers that are
running during the install.

Hope this helps

Thank You

Another option is to Start>Run>"msconfig" and enable only Limited Services.
Install, then rerun msconfig and restore all services.

I just wanted to thank everyone who tried to help me with my technical
problems. I have solved these problems. My brother's friend from USC told me
to simply re-install my original CD copy of Windows XP onto my computer and
everything should take care of itself from there. And it worked! I can now
redownload EVERYTHING that I used to have, evrything is back on my computer
and since I cleaned my disk, I now have a 'clean' hard drive in which to work
on...

I know one thing, I will NOT try something like that again! I will let an
expert advise me on this sort of thing from now on!

Thanks to everyone again for your help.

Don't forget that unless you install SP2, that you must
manually turn your firewall ON. And you CD may leave you
with many known security issues.
