I seem to be losing memory...

I don't know why, but my available RAM seems to be lowering and lowering without any programs running. I've checked to see if any periferals are taking any memory up, but nothing. This has happened about three times now over a month or two, and I end up having to do a system restore to an earlier period where I knew everything was fine. But sure enough, it starts happening again. Everything starts slowing down, programs take forever to open, graphics freeze up, sound gets choppy, etc

I can't say, "this is the silver bullet", try running ad-removal software.

and run them frequently.
