i recieve sound but no video in wmp object

I added a windows media object in my .ppt file and typed in the
correct web link to an .asx file. When I viewed the slide show, I can
here only the sound of the .wmv.asx file, but I cannot see the movie.
The movie looks distorted and cannot be viewed. I tried the same
process on another computer and it worked perfectly. Do you guys have
any suggestions for this problem.
