I push a control in an Access form to get a word document with li.

I have created a form in Access and a control button in that form that
launches a Word document that has data fields inserted from the Access
database. When the Word document launches, it is not on the same record as
the one I launched from in the Access form.

The default is to pull all the records from the table used, not what is
current on the form. You need to create a query where the record id you are
at gets passed to the query and only retrieves the record you want.

Look into filters.

The above will merge the current record to the word document.

You can read up on the above web site on how to use this in your
application, but the default for the above example is to merge only the
record you are looking at....
