thanks, tomcas and me.

I've tried the 2 sites above, and also precision roller. partssurfer is
'virtually unuseable' - it continuously asks what country I'm in,
non-stop. (like they need that info to show me a part number anyway).
printerworks, while more useable, doesn't have a sub-group called 'small
case plastics that hardly ever sell'. and the case parts listing that
-are- online don't include the pieces I need (far as I can determine).
precision roller offers mostly 'fast moving' parts, it seems.

so I've moved my 'parts I need' pix to a better site, with parts I need
better illustrated. it's at

http://machines.pandela.net/printer_parts_wanted/

so, if any of you guys can tell me the part -numbers- for the stuff I
need, it's sure help immensely.

thanks very much,

A. Right side Duplexer Cover mount is RB2-2401-000CN
B. One of the following depending on the printer configuration -
C4232-60101
Dust cover - For use with models featuring a standard 1X500 paper tray
C4232A
Dust Cover - Used on Models With Standard 1X500 Paper Tray
C4233-60101
Dust cover - For use with models featuring standard 2X250 paper trays
C4233A
Dust Cover - Used on Models With Standard 2X250 Paper Trays
C4234-60101

C4234A
Dust cover - For use with optional 500-sheet feeder on LJ4000/4050/4100 models

C. I couldn't find this blanking plate.

D. All of the screws used on the printer
Screw, M4x10, self-tapping (black) XA9-0870-000CN
Screw, M3x4, washer head XA9-0434-000CN
Screw, M3x6, with star washer FA9-1449-000CN
Screw, M3x6, washer head XA9-0267-000CN
Screw, M4x14, self-tapping XA9-0916-000CN
Screw, M4x12, self-tapping XA9-0773-000CN
Screw, M4x116, long, module RB1-8703-000CN
Screw, M4x10, self-tapping (silver) XA9-0606-000CN
Screw, M4, captive, Fuser RB1-8819-000CN
Screw, M3x16, Feed Modules XA9-0917-000CN

I think the ones you need are either
Screw, M4x14, self-tapping XA9-0916-000CN
or
Screw, M4x12, self-tapping XA9-0773-000CN
or
Screw, M4x10, self-tapping (silver) XA9-0606-000CN

Jet Direct J3111-69001JetDirect 600N EIO internal print server 10Base-T,
10BASE-2, and LocalTalk LAN interface board - Has one RJ-45, BNC, and 8-pin DIN
connector - (J3111A)

All of these except the screws are on Partsurfer which is an excellent source,
all you have to do is tell it once which country you are in and after that you
should not have to do so again. I use it maybe a dozen times a week. There are
good reasons why it needs to know which country you are in, the obvious one is
that parts for some HP printers are not available in all geographies, I suspect
also that it gives pricing in different currencies but I have not tried that.

tony,

thanks for your help, much appreciated. I'm still slightly confused

my printer has one drawer, capable of holding 500 sheets. so regarding
the bigger rear drawer 'dust cover' (part B on my 'back of the printer'
shot), one of -two- hp part numbers below *must* be the correct part
(but neither of which I've been unable to find an image of, so I could
determine the diff, if any, between the two parts)

question: aside for a -very- minor difference in wording:

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
C4232-60101
Dust cover - For use with models featuring a standard 1X500 paper tray

C4232A
Dust Cover - Used on Models With Standard 1X500 Paper Tray
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

the part numbers above have the *same* description. so, how are they
different, one from another?

or, from a different perspective, is it possible hp makes and sells the
same exact part under two -different- part numbers?

or, what's the 'diff' between "for use with models featuring" and "used
on models with"?

(ps - I even did a small research project: thought you may've made a
typo, so I tried to find out of one of the part numbers was suppposed
to, perhaps, be describe a '1x250' drawer cover instead of a 1x500, but
found your descrip's above accurate, and that they matched numerous
other sites found, so you're correct/made no typo's, and ... I'm baffled
by 'twin part numbers' <?>

pps-number on top right on my printer is C4253A

thanks again, tony, much

Sorry
I do not know why there are different part numbers for apparently the same
part, I suggest you ask HP.
