I need to set up a database in Access 2003

It needs to give users the ability to access staff details (name, office
address, phone number) firstly by job title then country then city. We have
several hundred staff!
I have not the faintest how to do this. However my pointy haired boss in her
infinite wisdom has decided this is my annual project.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

ACCESS comes with a sample database named Northwind. It contains forms and
tables that store employee information. You might be able to start with a
copy of that and go from there.

Also check http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/default.aspx for
various template databases. Here is a link for "employee" templates:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/results.aspx?Scope=TC&App=AC&Query=employee

You might benefit from John Viescas' new book, "Building Microsoft Access
Applications". This has membership database on a CD in it, and John shows
how to build it. John is a Microsoft ACCESS MVP, and also has written
"Microsoft Office Access 2003: Inside Out". This too is a good book about
how to build databases in ACCESS. Both are available at www.amazon.com.

If your pointy haired boss specified that you should use Microsoft Access,
then she is very wise, indeed! She's simply trying to encourage you to
become an "Access Junkie", which is a good thing.

Take a look at Jeff Conrad's long list of links related to Access. You
should be able to find answers to your questions by using these links, or
posting specific questions to this newsgroup. It's always best to identify
which version of Access that you are using.

Good Luck!
