I need to put long lines of text on a line without word-wrap breaking the
text. How do I do it?

Word will always wrap text at the margins. You can use legal paper landscape
with very small margins to lengthen the lines, but eventually they will
wrap. The "soft returns," however, are not actual breaks; text will rewrap
as needed when inserted into a larger space.
