I need to my LOCK TOOLBAR arrangement in OUTLOOK 2003

Every time I open Outlook, the toolbars I have selected to be displayed have
been rearranged on 3 or 4 lines ... when 2 will adequately suffice and give
the most screen real estate. This matter is also an annoyance in other
Office (2003) applications.

There is no provision, that I can find, which allows me to LOCK the TOOLBARS
such as the Taskbar or IE.

Further to this general issue, when (e.g.) Outlook or Word shows a toolbar,
such as [Adobe PDF] and I deselect it from appearing ... the next time I open
the respective app, the previously deselected toolbar is displayed once again.

Thanx for your time.

When 3rd party toolbars are involved, there's often no way to prevent this
from happening, and Adobe's toolbar is notorious for this. If you want to
use the Adobe add-in with Outlook you'll have to put up with its toolbar.
Otherwise, go to Tools | Options | Other tab | Advanced Options and click the
Add-ins Manager and COM Add-ins buttons and remove the Adobe add-in (I'm not
sure which of those buttons will lead you to it because I haven't reinstalled
Adobe on my new hard drive yet).

Joyce, thanx for your response. I know that malware toolbars are
ill-behaved. I suppose I'm naieve about add-ins from Adobe and the like.
