I need to change Frame/sec to 29.97

I'm partial to using Pinnacle Studios to edit my home movies and burn to DVD. However, I need for the videos to be 29.97 frames per second. Everytime I go into video settings, and manually change the frames/sec to 29.97, WMM2 still captures at 30, and I get an error in Pinnacle when I try and work with the clips. I, of course, have to convert the video to avi before pinnacle will recognize it, but that's not where the problem lies (at least I don't think so). Help?

MM2 uses 29.97 fps (it just rounds the figure it shows to 30).... the issue
is that Pinnacle Studio needs type II DV-AVI files and MM2 makes type I.

There's a conversion utility on the Setup > Software page of my website.

Thanks for the reply. Doesn't MM2 only output wmv files? Before using that Canopus DV Converter, do I need to make the wmv file into an avi

Hi there,

Movie maker can output WMV files of various sizes and quality or you can
use it to make DV-AVI quality films. You make the choice of which to use in
the dialog as you proceed to save the results of your editing etc.
