I need to activate my Windows XP

I feel really dumb here but .... I got a laptop that Im working on right now
and I have aol for my ISP. (Trying to give details so as not to confuse
anyone) Now I just got a Desktop and I don't have an ISP for this new
computer and I have been getting messages to activate my Windows Xp and I now
have passed the 30 days they allow to activate. My question is can I
register my Software, XP, for use on my other computer from my laptop?? This
laptop also has XP but its already been activated 2 yrs ago. I cant do
anything on this new computer until I register. if this is too confusing can
anyone tell me how to contact Windows by calling. Does anyone know the phone
number? THANKS SO MUCH IN ADVANCE FOR ANY HELP DI

Activation and registering are two different things,you don't need to
register,
why don't you call M/S customer service and they will walk you through the
activation process it will be a free call.
Question, since you already have AOHell why don't you just install their
software (ouch) and plug your new desktop to your already existing internet
connection? Or buy a router and use both computers on the same connection.
You don't need a new ISP account for every computer that you own.

Sorry I missed this ? the first time. When you were prompted to activate if
you had choosen to activate by phone the # would have been displayed for
you.

1-800-642-7676
This is not the activation # but if you call it they will give you the right
#.
