i need some help please help me

I know very little about the windows xp and the programs
that start running when you turn on your computer. But i
know that all those programs slow your computer down . I
need to know how to disable those programs form starting
up when i turn on my computer. Please help me someone.

The first place to look is within the program's own options. If you can't
find it there, click Start, Run and enter MSCONFIG and go to the Startup
tab.
